I tinkered around with the source code and successfully installed it, but the blocks were not working correctly.

I saw on the module page that is was initially released for Scilab 5.5.2 and not updated by the author. As you already noticed there are many incompatibilities with the latest versions of Scilab and, last but not least, tests are likely only possible with the hardware device so your options are: 1-contact the author of the toolbox, 2-stick to Scilab 5.5.2. Anyway, if you want a bit of help from us please be more precise than “the blocks were not working correctly”.
