2027.0.0 multiple launch

In windows file explorer

  • double click on file_A.sce launches Scilab, and opens file_A in Scinotes
  • next, double click on file_B.sce launches another Scilab instance, including another Scinotes
  • file_A and file_B appear in both Scinotes instances

The correct behavior should be a single Scilab-Scinotes launch, opening the two files in a single Scinotes window.

Thanks for your feedback.

We are no able to reproduce this behavior. Did you change anything after a standard installation of Scilab?

Did the same behavior happen with Scilab 2026.1.0?

Solved.
The machine had also installed Java (jre-8u503-windows-x64) prior to Scilab 2027.0.0, when Java was uninstalled the problem dissapeared.
