Hello everyone,
I have a problem docking windows in the software. When I separate a window from the starting dock, I cannot re-dock it afterwards. I notice that there is a small arrow to remove the dock but unfortunately no button to redock the window afterwards. The only solution I found is to reset the docking in the preferences (by restarting the software).
Hello,
There is no such feature (redock after undock) in the FlexDoc Java library which is used by Scilab.

Hi,
If it’s the case, the problem here is that it is impossible to dock the graphic window (not docked originaly).

Hello,
Considering your question I suppose that you are a new Scilab user ? So, welcome !
There is no docking button as the one in Matlab’s Windows. Scilab windows can be docked by dragging and dropping the black bar with Window name, e.g.
“Scilab 2024.0.0 Console”, “Variable Browser”, “File Browser”, “Graphic Window number n”,…
See the following video (the moving circle shows mouse-clicks+moves):
A google search with “dock scilab window” also gives this first hit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6D0tvkAy3GI
Hi, thanks S. @mottelet , it is ok for me.
To resume, the procedure, (not very intuitive !) is :
- double-clic on the blue bar of the window you want to dock, maintaining the mouse pressed (second clic),
- go to the dock space you want to (transparent blue window).
- release the mouse
→ all is ok
In fact keeping the button pressed from the begining and moving the mouse to drag the window should be OK (hence, only one button press at the begining and one button release at the end once the window is where you want).
