Scilab 2025.1.0 no more for intel macs

Since the launch Scilab 25.1.0, the intel macs don’t have more new releases….. Bad!

Many releases ago, the graphics menus in OSX don’t work as in windows…… Bad!

Hello,

Concerning the Intel release, we have not been able to finalize it because of the jcef library component which is currently broken for Intel (the Scilab team is not in charge of its development).

For the graphic menus, can you be more precise ?

Hello, In the figure properties in mac, the message “The ged function is not available on MacOSX.” was desplayed.

The graphical entity editor is based on Tk, which has never been available on macOS Scilab. It was developed with Tk back when Scilab didn’t offer GUI development features. However, it could be ported to all platforms using the powerfull GUI features that Scilab now has, if a community member feels able to do so !

GUI througth commands, it’s not easy than the windows figure properties that MAC doesn’t have.

Hello,

I have packaged a non-official scilab-2025.1.0 bundle for Intel that you will find on my Scilab page at https://www.utc.fr/~mottelet/scilab_for_macOS.html. Be warned that the new GUI browser widget is not working, so please consider this build as non official (it is not provided on the official Scilab site www.scilab.org).

Thank you, I appreciate you

I think that a refresh of your browser window should fix the problem
