# Xcos SELF\_SWITCH block problem - Scilab 2025

I can’t see this flagged already, but in Scilab 2025.1 the Xcos SELF\_SWITCH block shows just as a blank square when you transfer it to a model. In 2024.1, it also transfers initially as a blank square, but when you click on it the image appears and correctly changes state.

I also tried running a model with 2025.1 that had been developed in an earlier version. The switch image showed, but never changed state.

I use this block a lot to switch my training models from manual to auto, controller types, etc so would appreciate a fix or some guidance. I’m running Win11 on a Surface laptop with U7 CPU.
