Hi! I’ve tried to install scilab on my computer which has a Snapdragon X Elite processor, after selecting the language for the installation, it appears an error message about not having an x64 processor architecture, as far as I know, the Snapdragon X Elite is a 64-bit processor, what could be the problem and how can I solve it?

Hello, and welcome to Scilab’s Discourse !

The Snapdragon X Elite is an arm64 processor and Scilab does not have a native Windows build for this architecture. However, there should be some emulation (at the Windows operating system level) taking place, maybe you didn’t activate this feature (see [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/arm/apps-on-arm-x86-emulation](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/arm/apps-on-arm-x86-emulation)).

S.

Thank you so much. I will try that and see if it works!

Hi Mau, did you have any success? I suspect I will have to run Scilab under Linux on my laptop that has the same processor as yours, at least until there is enough demand to warrant a new build of Scilab/xcos in Win 11.
