# HDF5 to netCDF grid - testing

Hello

I have made a first attempt at using the HDF5 functions in Scilab to read in a netCDF grid, and then export it back out as a netCDF format file using the prebuilt binaries for the latest library (must be in the system path). It’s not perfect, but seems to work and still needs tweaking to get the registration and increments correct.

Any more suggestions would be helpful. Note: this is still a work in progress, so not finalised.

Maybe one day the Scinetcdf libary can be rebuilt.
