In windows file explorer

- double click on file\_A.sce launches Scilab, and opens file\_A in Scinotes
- next, double click on file\_B.sce launches **another** Scilab instance, including _another_ Scinotes
- file\_A and file\_B appear in **both** Scinotes instances

The correct behavior should be a single Scilab-Scinotes launch, opening the two files in a single Scinotes window.

Dear @javika ,

Thanks for your feedback.

We are no able to reproduce this behavior. Did you change anything after a standard installation of Scilab?

Did the same behavior happen with Scilab 2026.1.0?

Best regards.

Solved.
The machine had also installed Java (jre-8u503-windows-x64) prior to Scilab 2027.0.0, when Java was uninstalled the problem dissapeared.
